My Mission
My early career was far from ideal. Settling to a succession of average jobs, in which I feel I was distinctly average, I struggled to find any real purpose beyond earning a wage. Luckily I secured a job in training and development for a governmental body and I will never forget the energy I first felt from standing up and delivering something of value to a group of people. My career progressed into executive management in strategic HR/Training related roles in corporate and I always retained my passion for developing people and teams.

As an ILM qualified executive coach and Asentiv© accredited coach in relationship development and referral marketing, as well as being accredited in personal diagnostics through Thomas International, I want to share the rewards I get from the profession of coaching. Which is why I continue to build my own community of qualified coaches. Over the years I have qualified dozens of people through my company No Guru and the ILM qualifications to become coaches in their own right. It gives me tremendous satisfaction to know they are out there, making a difference to hundreds of people who value their support and guidance.
These days I’m a coach to executive leaders and people who run their own business. My mission remains to help them be the best they can be and to never settle for average or lose sight of what’s important to them. I love seeing my clients achieve the realisation that they can have freedom and choice in what they do and who they do it with. That they can lead spectacular lives and develop amazing careers and businesses.
When I’m not doing that, I’m working with my wife on the conversion of a former pub/restaurant into a home. I’m also a keen walker and runner and regularly take a ‘dip’ in the chilly coastal waters of Fife, Scotland. I’m a musician (saxophone and guitar) and enjoy playing and listening to music and attending concerts of a variety of genres.
A personal goal of mine is to encourage 100+ men to stay healthy by assessing their risk of contracting Prostate Cancer leading to early detection and treatment of the disease.
